Our Patient Support programs are at the heart of what we do at Rare Cancers Australia.
Every patient has a dedicated Specialist Cancer Navigator who walks with them every step of their cancer diagnosis, treatment and beyond. Our Navigators become a trusted source of information, helping patients with things like:
- Understanding how the health system works
- Researching treatment options and clinical trials
- Emotional and personal support
- Managing finances, including accessing financial support or crowdfunding if necessary
- Providing reliable information about their cancer, treatment and more
- Connecting them with other relevant services and support.
