Partnerships and collaboration are an important part of what we do, helping us leverage shared expertise and networks to have a greater impact.
Cancer Australia
Rare Cancers Australia has been named as one of the first implementation partners for the Australian Cancer Plan. This Plan, Australia’s first national cancer plan, sets out a range of goals for the improvement of cancer experiences across a range of priority groups. We look forward to engaging with this plan alongside the Federal Government, stakeholders and patients to change the story for rare.
More about the Australian Cancer Plan
Omico
At Rare Cancers Australia, we believe genomic-led care and personalised medicine hold enormous potential for treating rare cancers – cancers that can be as unique as you are. That’s why we partner with Omico, an organisation providing comprehensive genomic profiling to thousands of Australians with advanced or incurable cancers. The results have the potential to match patients with clinical trials of precision therapies.
Australian Genomics
We partnered with Australian Genomics in 2024 to deliver a three-part Genomics Policy Roundtable series. Sessions in Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney brought together stakeholders with a range of perspectives and ideas to explore the opportunities and challenges of implementing genomic-led cancer care.
Icon Cancer Centre
Icon Cancer Centre has more than 35 years of experience delivering personalised cancer care through centres across Australia. We recently partnered with Icon to present a Facebook Live session about rare cancer treatment and support for World Cancer Day. Icon also supported Rare Cancers Awareness Day in 2024.
