Our volunteers
Volunteering is a great way to make a one-off or ongoing contribution, meet new people, have some fun and support people living with rare, less common and complex cancers.
At Rare Cancers Australia, volunteers are just as valued as our donors! We’re always looking for people who can help put together our care packs, stuff comfort bears for our Mummy’s Wish program, support us at events and much more!
Why volunteer?
Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community. Many people want to make a tangible difference to others, and volunteering is one way to do that.
Sometimes our volunteers:
- have been affected by rare cancers themselves and want to help others
- are retired and want to do something positive with their spare time
- want to meet new, like-minded people.
We also have workplace groups, families and students completing their Duke of Edinburgh Award who volunteer for us.
