Dr. Andrew Strickland is a medical oncologista doctor who specialises in the study, diagnosis and treatment of cancer specialising in gastrointestinal (GI) cancera disease where abnormal cells split without control and spread to other nearby body tissue and/or organs, that is colorectalrelating to the colon or rectum in the large bowel/intestine, gastroesophageal, pancreatic, neuroendocrine and other GI cancers.
Andrew studied medicine at the University of Melbourne and obtained his basic medical degree Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgerytreatment involving removal of cancerous tissue and/or tumours and a margin of healthy tissue around it to reduce recurrence, (MBBS) in 1991.
He was awarded Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 1999.
He has been at Monash Cancer Centre since April 2001 and has practices located in Berwick, Noble Park and Bentleigh East.
